WAKFIELD, Mass. – A Wakefield neighborhood is rattled after a hunting arrow was shot right into a family’s home.

Elizabeth Nassal and her husband have lived in their home for 17 years and have never felt unsafe until this incident.

“I went out to put some trash on the porch, and I looked up, and I saw the arrow, and I screamed,” she said.

Nassal couldn’t believe it – a feathered, hunting arrow, piercing the side of her home this morning

“It’s in there pretty well, it pierced the siding,” Nassal said.

It was a shocking discovery on this densely populated street – where houses are close set and small children often play outside.

Whether Nassal’s home was the intended target – is now the subject of an investigation by Wakefield police, who Nassal says are checking with residents in the area – for other reports of bow and arrow use.

“It’s a little disconcerting to know that somebody has a weapon like that around my house and I don’t know who, and I don’t know when,” she said.

Nassal worries even if the arrow went astray and was an accident that another round of target practice could hit a person – instead of a home

“I would like that whoever has done this to think and to know that it is really dangerous,” said Nassal.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
