Deer wanders into Kearny Mesa parking lot – The San Diego Union-Tribune
Animal control crews assisted in the rescue of a deer that wandered into an industrial area in Kearny Mesa Monday.
According to San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros, the deer was seen running in the street around 8:25 a.m. near the intersection of of Kearny Villa Road and Balboa Avenue.
The caller also believed the deer had blood coming out of its mouth, Delimitros said. When officials arrived, the deer had wandered into the parking lot of Kyocera International, Inc., on Balboa Avenue.
California Department of Fish and Wildlife officials told police not to engage with the deer and to let it find its own way back to a nearby canyon, Delimitros said.
A game warden was on scene assisting with the rescue. By noon, the deer was corralled into a fenced-in area, according to CBS 8.
